Camden

Eva Nell Barrett, 90, of Camden, Arkansas, entered her heavenly home on Thursday, May 15, 2025. Eva was born on January 5, 1935, to Estie and Jewel Jordan Partridge.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, Mike Barrett and Ron Barrett and great-granddaughter, Brooklann Roberson.

She is survived by her son, Mark Barrett and wife, Kim of Camden, AR; sister, Clara Womack of Bryant, AR; grandsons, David Barrett and Derek Green; granddaughters Erica McCain (Robbie), Michelle Barrett (Destiny), E.J. Barrett (Jared), Jennifer Barrett, and Callie Willsey (Chris); great-grandchildren, Braden Roberson, Seth McCain, Kaleb McCain, Savannah McCain, Alax Willsey, Angel Willsey, Max Willsey, Leia Willsey, Macee Green, Lane Green and Brooks Green; a host of nieces and nephews; and a multitude of loved cousins and friends.

Eva was a member of Cullendale Baptist Church in Camden, Arkansas. She loved the Lord deeply and would spend hours every day reading her Bible until her eyesight worsened and stopped her. She never met a stranger and never missed an opportunity to witness to any person God placed in her path, no matter where she was. She loved to witness to people about Jesus and how good He was to her.

To know Eva is to have surely heard her say, “The Lord has blessed me mightily,” of which her biggest blessing was her children and grandchildren. Eva also enjoyed many things throughout her life. She loved estate sales and flea markets, glassware and tea pots, old furniture and pictures, all of which decorated every single inch of her home. She spent her retirement years travelling all over the United States with her sister and best friend, Clara, along with her nephew, Alan Womack, and his church. And there was never a trip that rocks did not make it back to Camden, Arkansas, to decorate her home, inside and out.

The family would like to extend a special thank you and deep appreciation to The Springs and Dr. Braden and the wonderful staff at Arbor Hospice for their exceptional care and support for Eva over the past three months.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on June 28th at Calvary Baptist Church in East Camden, Arkansas. All who knew and loved her are welcome to attend and share in remembering her life.
