Eva Fisher

Eva F. Fisher, 66 of Austin, Arkansas passed away April 10, 2023.  She was born on January 9,1957 to Earnest and Bessie Burnett Gilbert in Searcy, Arkansas.

Eva was a Dietary Manager for over thirty years, most recently at Cabot Nursing and Rehab, retiring in 2017.  She loved fishing, cooking, and playing cards – Skipbo, Phase Ten and Poker – with family and friends.  “She loved to take our money!”

She was preceded in death by her parents, Earnest Gilbert and Bessie Gilbert Boyce; and three grandchildren, Alec Allison, Madison and Landon Howard.

Eva is survived by her husband of thirty years, Jon A. Fisher; three children, Charles Brewster (Meaghan) of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Melissa Chipps of Palm Coast, Florida, Christie Howard of Austin, Arkansas; seven grandchildren, Jordan Brewster (Aubree), Alexey Chipps, Cloey Brewster, Chase Brewster, Evan Howard, Darren Howard, and Kayli Howard; two great-grandchildren, Evie Brewster, and Kehlani Dixon; siblings, Walter Gilbert, Gene Gilbert, Ernie Gilbert, Charles Gilbert, Robert Gilbert, Kathleen Sapp, Miranda Lumley, Jessica Hale, James Wooten and Tina Geter as well as many nieces and nephews.

Visitation is Thursday, April 13^th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Smith Westbrook Funeral Home Chapel in Beebe.  Funeral Services are 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 14^th, at Pleasant Hills Baptist Church, 6470 AR 89, Cabot, Arkansas, with interment to follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Austin.
