Eva Mae Atwood Golden, age 84, of Little Rock, left this home for her eternal home Sunday, May 26, 2024. She will join her parents, Milburn Lee Atwood and Thelma Mae Colclasure Atwood; sisters, Patsy Ann Atwood Dreher and Melba Jean Atwood Wilson who await her arrival. She leaves behind her husband of 64 years, Melvin Eugene Golden; sons, Bryan Keith (Amy) and Daniel “Danny” Lee (Kim). Other family who will miss her dearly are grandsons, Brett Daniel Golden (Claire) and Bryan David Golden (Morgan); great-grandchildren, Georgia, Genevieve, Gentry, Blair, and Truett; her siblings, Wesley “Butch” Atwood, Gary Lee Atwood, and Paul Edward Atwood; and a host of many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
Eva, known as Nannie to the family, had many interests including porcelain, cooking, gardening & canning, decorating her home, and shopping; especially bargaining. She crafted many award-winning porcelains that remain on display.
Eva and Melvin are members of the Tele-Bible Sunday school class of Immanuel Baptist Church.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Friday, May 31, 2024, at Smith Little Rock Funeral Home. Graveside funeral service will be 11:00 AM Saturday, June 1, 2024, at Ivy Chapel Cemetery. Charlie (Doc) Holladay will be officiating.
