Evelyn Ison

Evelyn Ison, 88, of Sherwood passed April 21, 2026. She was born, December 1, 1937 in North Little Rock to the late Vera Owens Shirley and William H. Shirley. Evelyn was also preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Jimmie Lee Ison, and a sister, Marion F. Shirley. 

Survivors include, a daughter, Cheryl Yeager (Keith) of North Little Rock; son, Dr. Keith Ison (Tina) of Russellville; two granddaughters whom she dearly loved, Heather Kendrick (Jeremy) of Crossett; and Lauren Ison of Centerton; and several extended family members and friends.

She was a faithful member of Apostolic Church in North Little Rock and never missed church until she became too ill to attend. 

Visitation is 5:00-7:00 PM, Thursday, April 23, at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home. Funeral is at 11:00 AM Friday, April 24, at Apostolic Church, 4314 Landers Road. Burial will follow at Gravel Ridge Cemetery, weather permitting. Guestbook at www.SmithFamilyCares.com.
