Evelyn Janette (Jan) Meyers, 72, of Jacksonville, went to be with her Lord on July 5, 2011. Born January 30, 1939 in North Little Rock, she was a member of First Pentecostal Church of North Little Rock.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Louis Meyers; sisters, Jean McPherson of North Little Rock, Joan Hobson (David) of Ferndale and Elaine Graves (Rick) of Springdale; brothers, Jimmy Wayne Shelby (Brenda) and Paul Shelby (Phyllis), both of Bryant; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Special thanks to Baptist Hospital's doctors and staff for their loving care of Evelyn and her family.
Funeral services will be Thursday, July 7 at 10:30 a.m. at First Pentecostal Church, 1401 Calvary Rd., North Little Rock, officiated by Rev. Joel Holmes. Interment will follow at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the church.
