Floy Marie Barentine, 99, of Naperville, IL formerly of North Little Rock went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, April 9, 2017. She was born September 1, 1917 in Cabot to the late Emmett and Vida (Waymack) Barentine.
Marie graduated from Cabot High School in 1939. She enjoyed a long career working for the Southern Baptist Annuity Board in Dallas from which she retired in 1980. She was an active member of the Park Hill Baptist church in North Little Rock. She enjoyed singing in the choir and her time spent with her Sunday School class. Enjoying the many activities and times of fellowship they had over the years.
In addition to her parents, Marie was preceded in death by her beloved brother William Fred Barentine. She is survived by her sister in law Elizabeth Barentine, nephew Ralph (Cynthia) Barentine, great nephews Todd(Chantal), Matthew and Andrew(Kara) Barentine, also her great great nephews and niece Cooper, Carolina and Miles Barentine.
Marie was a treasure to all who knew her, a prayer warrior for many and loved dearly by her family. Her love and faith were the essence of who she was and an encouragement for those whose lives she touched. A sweeter, kinder, gentler, god fearing woman would be hard to find.
A graveside service to celebrate Marie's life will be at the Sumner Cemetery in Cabot at 10:30AM on Thursday, April 20, 2017.
