Fairy Lee Shope May age 87 of Delight died Thursday, December 2, 2010. She was born May 12, 1923 the daughter of John and Jenny Frazier Shope. She was a member of the Pike County Home Extension Club and the Delight Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clib May, a son Larry May, a grandson, Corey Lamb, four brothers, Leather, Leonard, Billy Harold, and Jerry Shope, three sisters, Eddie Kirkham, Vera Taylor and Sue Hill.
Survivors include one son, Jim May and his wife Minda Sue of Delight, one daughter Trish Lamb of Delight, one brother John Shope Jr. of Hot Springs, 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2 PM Sunday in the Delight Church of Christ with Rev. Wallace Alexander and Rev. Randy Hughes officiating. Burial will be in the Delight Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-7 PM Saturday evening at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home in Arkadelphia.
Memorials may be made to the Delight Cemetery Fund c/o Wallace Alexander, 110 W. Antioch, Delight, AR 71940.
