Fanchon M. Jackson, age 83, of Glenwood, died Monday, February 24, 2014. She was born on May 14, 1930, in Choctaw, Oklahoma, the daughter of Richard Garner and Alice Coffey Garner. On May 16, 1951, she was married to Carmen E. Jackson who preceded her in death on November 23, 2013. She was also preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Richard Garner. Fanchon and Carmen started their marriage in Arkansas then moved to Arizona where she helped Carmen with his car business and worked as a waitress. After several years, they returned to Glenwood where they have resided for the past twenty years. She enjoyed working in her garden, going to auctions, and will always be remembered for their large yard sales they enjoyed having at their home. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family, whom she dearly loved. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, but she will remain in each of their hearts forever. She is survived by two sons, Donnie Young of Oklahoma and Randy Jackson of Newhope; her daughter, Sharon Jackson of Glenwood; one step-daughter, Barbara Granado of Phoenix, Arizona; and three grandchildren, David Young, Kenan Young and James Young. Memorials services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, March 2, 2014, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Glenwood with Charles Jackson officiating. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
