Faye Shepherd

Thelma “Faye” Gill Shepherd, 76, of Little Rock passed away June 14, 2024. Faye was born to the late E.T. Gill and Thelma Norris Gill in Dumas, Arkansas on September 25, 1947.

Faye was a beautiful and devoted wife, step mother, and grandmother. She had a special place in her heart for all children who knew her as “Faye Faye.” Faye enjoyed making her home and working with her late husband in his dental office where she was the office administrator. Faye liked gardening and volunteering in her community. She was an avid reader. Faye loved God, her country, and her family. Beloved grandmother and ever loved.

Faye is preceded in death by her husband Hunter Shepherd of Little Rock and step son Hunter Shepherd Jr. as well as her brothers Frank Gill, Carroll Gill, Bud Gill, James Andrew Gill, Ray Gill; sisters, Kay Gill, Ernestine Mankin, Norma Harrod and Peggy Gill Vickers. Survivors include step son David Shepherd and his wife Janey of Little Rock; brother F.H. Gill and his wife Harriette of McGehee, Arkansas, grandson Anthony McCarley, granddaughter Madeline Shepherd and as well as many beloved nieces and nephews, and her precious little dog Zoey.

Memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, June 22, 2024 at the McGehee Cemetery Pavilion. Interment will take place in Marianna, Arkansas.
