Faye (Douglass) Young was born February 6, 1936 in Des Arc, Ar. and passed away peacefully on October 14,2026.

Faye was preceded in death by her first husband, William "Bill" Douglass, and her second husband, Johnnie Young. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Herman and Onnie Whitehurst; her sister, Geneva Evans; and her great-great-granddaughter, Blair Faye Brown, who was lovingly blessed to carry her name.

Faye is survived by her two sons, David Douglass (Rosalie) and William Douglass (Cindy). She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Connie Cooper (Gary), Wesley Douglass, Allyson Radford (Tommy), Ashley Sexton (Dusty), Alayna Smith (BJ), and Laura Crouch (Wesley).

Her legacy continues through her cherished great-grandchildren: Jacie (Gage), Samantha (Brayden), Alyssa (Daniel), Bryce, Will, Kinlee, Alyvia, Lydia, and Jacob. She is also survived by her brother, Herman "Bud" Whitehurst, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who will miss her greatly.

Faye was a graduate of Des Arc High School and worked as a bookkeeper throughout her career. She retired from ITW Shippers in Sheridan, Arkansas, after many years of dedicated service. A faithful follower of Christ, Faye was a longtime member of Indian Springs Baptist Church, where she found great joy in worship, fellowship, and serving alongside her church family.

Faye’s life was defined by faith, love, and devotion to family. While many people are blessed to find one great love in their lifetime, Faye was fortunate enough to find two. She first shared a wonderful life with her true love, Bill, and after his passing, she found love again with Johnnie. She was a devoted and loving wife to both men, embracing and cherishing their families as her own and forming deep bonds that lasted a lifetime.

Above all, Faye loved Jesus Christ and dedicated her life to living out her faith. She considered it one of her greatest responsibilities and privileges to instill that faith in her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, leading by example through her kindness, grace, and unwavering trust in God.

Family was the center of Faye’s world. She loved fiercely and unconditionally, always offering a listening ear, wise advice, a helping hand, or simply her comforting presence whenever it was needed. Her love only grew stronger with each new generation. Her great-grandchildren held a special place in her heart; in Faye’s eyes they could do no wrong, and she delighted in spoiling them beyond measure and celebrating every moment she could with them.

Faye treasured the close relationships she shared with her Lonoke family, especially her beloved siblings, nieces, and nephews. She also cherished opportunities to reconnect with her Weatherly and Douglass family and held dear the memories she made with each of them throughout the years.

Her church family was another source of great joy in her life. She faithfully loved and served alongside her friends at Indian Springs Baptist Church, and she especially treasured the fellowship, friendship, and encouragement she found in her Sunday School class. Through her faith, her love for family, and her generous spirit, Faye left a legacy that will continue to bless all who knew her.

A visitation in remembrance of Faye will be held at Indian Springs Baptist Church in Bryant, Arkansas, beginning at 11:30 a.m., with funeral services to follow at 12:30 p.m. Interment will take place at Pinecrest Memorial Park at 2:00 p.m.
