Frances A. Gray, age 86, of Hot Springs, passed away Friday, August 27, 2021.
She was born on February 5, 1935, in Alf, the daughter of James Raymon Lawrence and Ethel Lewis Lawrence. She is preceded in death by her parents; one son, Michael Stevens; three brothers, Kenneth Lawrence, Roland Lawrence and Alan Lawrence; and one sister, Lorene Howard.
Frances was a Christian in her faith and a member of First Baptist Church. She was a Registered Nurse and worked at both Ouachita memorial Hospital and St. Joseph’s Medical Center from 1957 until 1970. In 1972, she started work for the Garland County Health Department Administration until her retirement. She loved working in her flower garden. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, who loved her family very much. She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.
She is survived by her husband, Jim Gray of Hot Springs; two sons, Dan Gray of Bismarck and Tom Gray of Hot Springs; one daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Tim Bucknall of Greensboro, North Carolina; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, Ray and Sue Lawrence of Oden; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Wilma Faye and Ralph Rainey of Benton, Velma Gordermier of Houston and Bethany Lawrence of Mount Ida; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM, Thursday, September 2, 2021, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Hot Springs.
Interment will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Wednesday evening.
