Frances Patterson Byers, 94, of Little Rock, passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2007. After graduating from Henderson State College in 1933, she taught for thirty-three years in Hope and Hot Springs elementary schools. She was a member of the Garland County Retired Teachers' Association, Delta Kappa Gamma and First United Methodist Church of Hot Springs. She was preceded in death by her husband of thirty-three years, Howard Byers, and her parents, Robert Malcolm and Allie Stuart Hunter Patterson.
She is survived by one son, Robert Malcolm Byers and his wife, Janice M. Byers.
Graveside service will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 12 at Rose Hill Cemetery in Hope, Arkansas. Memorials may be made to F.U.R.R. (Feline Rescue & Rehome), P. O. Box 250567, Little Rock, AR 72225.
