Frances Louise Eiseman

Frances Louise Eiseman passed away on June 3, 2024, after a battle with cancer.  She was 89 years old.  It would be wrong to say that she lost her battle, because she never stopped fighting.  In the words of a very wise woman, God needed her.

She was born on January 21,1935 in Delight, AR.  She spent her early years being raised by her parents, Dee and Cleora Taylor.  “Tootsie” as she was called, is survived by her sister, Kathy Bolls.

Fran entered the work force as a secretary for Southwestern Bell, where her employment brought her to Little Rock. This is where she met and married the love of her life, William “Bill” Eiseman.  They united in marriage in 1962, and spent 58 years together.  They are survived by their 2 girls, Susan Shockey (John Shockey) and Janet Gheens (Scott Bowles).

She was a devoted wife and mother.  She resigned from her job to care for her family, always providing love, encouragement, and unselfish dedication.  She was an excellent family chef, an exceptional seamstress for her girls many school programs, makeup artist for their dance recitals, and chaperone to many school functions.

“Nan” as her family fondly referred to her later in life was blessed with 2 beautiful grandchildren, Lauren Shockey and Alex Harber.  She definitely put the “grand” in grandmother.

Her friendships encompassed all aspects of life, and each was special to her.  From phone chats, to lovingly preparing delicious meals and desserts for friends and family, or making a special effort to select the perfect card to send, she truly embodied a loving friend.  Her love of nature was infectious.  She grew the most beautiful flowers, and always enjoyed feeding and watching her birds.  She treated everyone she encountered as family, and her infectious smile truly brought joy to all who knew her.

A special thank you to all the exceptional ladies at A Place At Home, who took excellent care and treated her with compassion.  Also, to Rabbi Barry H Block for his steadfast support and encouragement.  Lastly, to Arkansas Hospice for their amazing assistance.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 21, 2024 at 10:00 am at the columbarium of  Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, 1501 W. Maryland Avenue, North Little Rock, AR .  Service will be followed by a celebration of her amazing life at Trio’s, 8201 Cantrell Rd, Little Rock, AR from 11am – 1pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Arkansas Hospice Foundation, 14 Parkstone Circle, North Little Rock, AR 72116 or Congregation B’Nai Israel, 3700 N Rodney Parham Rd, Little Rock, AR 72212 or Tunnel of Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Boulevard, Staten Island, NY 10306 (online @t2t.org)
