Frances Louise Harrell, lovingly known as “YaYa” and “Gran,” passed away on September 29, 2025. Born on February 23, 1956, in Maricopa County, Arizona, she lived a life centered around family, love, and laughter.
Frances worked for many years as an administrative assistant, where she was known for her reliability and dedication. At home, though, she was happiest—pouring her energy into her children and grandchildren. She had a special way of making ordinary moments unforgettable, and her grandchildren, Cara, Emma, Eva, Ethan, and Zack, will always remember the fun, laughter, and creativity she shared with them.
She found joy in many simple pleasures—reading Harry Potter, cheering on her favorite characters in medical dramas, gathering with family at reunions, and savoring her daughter-in-law’s sugar-free peach cobbler. These small delights reflected her love of stories, connections, and togetherness.
Frances is survived by her children, Chad Harrell and his wife Jennifer, and Jessica Harrell-Rettstatt; her siblings, Shirley Ingram, Erma Hearitige, Ray Hearitige, Sue Daniel, Faye Burns, and Joy Rowland; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who loved her dearly. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Harrell, and her parents, William Oscar and Jessie May (Poor) Hearitige.
Frances will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her devotion to family, and the countless memories she leaves behind.
