Francis "Frank" Hall, age 91, of Maumelle, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on May 12, 2025.
A beloved husband, father, educator, and servant-leader, Frank lived a life marked by faith, integrity, and unwavering dedication to others. He began his collegiate life at Oklahoma State University using the GI bill to obtain a BS degree. He then moved on to the University of Arkansas earning an MBA and later a PhD. He was an Associate Professor of Management with the University of Arkansas System for 48.5 years before retiring in 2012. He spent much of his professional life as a college professor teaching undergraduates at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, where he was known for his wisdom, kindness, and deep commitment to his students and colleagues.
Beyond the classroom, Frank was a pillar of his community. He served as a deacon for over 30 years and as an elder for more than 20 years at Windsong Church of Christ (formerly Sixth & Izard Church of Christ), where he was respected for his quiet strength, thoughtful guidance, and steadfast faith. His leadership and care enriched the lives of all who worshiped alongside him.
Frank also poured his energy into youth and community sports, serving as a coach, treasurer, and board member for the Burns Park Athletic Association. He coached youth baseball teams for more than twenty years, continuing to coach even after his four sons were too old to compete. Whether on the field or in the boardroom, he led with humility and a servant's heart, always focused on building up others.
He will be remembered for his gentle spirit, deep compassion, and genuine interest in team building. His legacy lives on in the countless lives he touched through teaching, mentoring, and faithfully walking in his values.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years Thelma Ruth (Shackelford) Hall, his five children Dara of Maumelle, Timothy of Fairfax Virginia, Micah of Maumelle, Chad of Sheridan Arkansas and one daughter Stasia(Christopher) Vanwinkle of Sherwood; seven grandchildren Brittany, Samantha, Shannon, Josie, Heather, Madelyn and Titus as well as one great grandchild Delilah. He is also survived by his brother Doug Hall of Oklahoma as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister Joann Hiler of Oklahoma
