Francis Thomas Jamell, 72, of Little Rock, passed from this life on July 7, 2021. He was born June 17, 1949, in Marshalltown, Iowa to the late Francis Anthony and Stanislawa Clara (Siemenska) Jamell. Francis had a deep love for God and his country. He was always proud of his Catholic Faith and even more proud of the fact that it had been instilled in him through the love and example set by his parents. Francis was an entrepreneur, gun enthusiast, a member of the NRA who enjoyed politics, philosophy, hunting, and watching the news. He was a master mechanic and craftsman and was happiest spending time with his family. Mr. Jamell was self-employed as a concrete contractor for more than twenty years. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many.
Survivors include his wife, Sue Thompson Jamell; children, Miles Jamell (fiancé Tina Hudson) of Little Rock, Stasia Jamell Blalock (husband Jason Blalock) of Texas, and Salem Jamell (Skye Stevens) of Sherwood; siblings Stasia, Salem, Joseph, Thomas, Clara, Maria, James, Theresa, and Regina; grandchildren Clare, Michael, Gabriel, Raphael, Mary, David, Daniel, and Andrew. Other survivors include 16 nieces and nephews; stepsons Ray (Loretta) Thompson and Rick Thompson; step grandsons Kristopher and Zac Thompson; and mother of his three children, Jill Lukehart Jamell.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 2:00pm, Monday, July 12, 2021, at Christ the King Catholic Church. Rosary will be prior to the service at the church, beginning at 1:30pm. In lieu of flowers memorials in Mr. Jamell’s memory may be made to the Pulaski County Humane Society, 14600 Colonel Glenn Rd, Little Rock, AR 72210.
