Francisco Cantu, Jr., 71, of Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away September 10, 2026. He was born July 26, 1955, in Raymondville, Texas, to Elida F. (Fonseca) Rowe and the late Francisco Cantu, Sr.
Francisco proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a man who truly enjoyed life and believed in making the most of each day. He loved being outdoors, especially when he could spend time in nature or go fishing. But more than anything, Francisco loved being surrounded by his family. Time spent together was important to him, and those moments created memories his loved ones will forever cherish.
Francisco also loved to eat! A good meal was always something to enjoy, especially when it was shared with the people he loved. He had a genuine appreciation for the simple pleasures in life and knew how to celebrate each day he was given.
Francisco was preceded in death by his father, Francisco Cantu, Sr.; and sister, Maria Ofelia Hernandez.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his sons, Joshua Cantu and Frank Minica; mother, Elida F. Rowe; siblings, Lupe Cantu and wife Lanie, Enelia Leal and husband Samuel, and Jaime Cantu; aunts, Celia Pena and Fidela Lopez; and many other family members and friends who loved Francisco and will miss him always.
The family held a private memorial service.
