Frank W. Baughtman, Sr., 88, of Little Rock, died Sunday, June 21, 2009. He was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on April 9, 1921. He was a member of First Christian Church Disciples of Christ, Mary Williams Lodge, #307, F & A.M., and a 32nd degree of Scottish Rite in the Valley of Little Rock Orient of Arkansas. He served in the U.S. Navy in WWII and the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Rommel Baughtman, a daughter, Carolyn Hartstein (Peter), a son, Frank W. Baughtman, Jr., (Delaine), five grandchildren, Douglas Baughtman, Erin Baughtman, Frank "Trey" Baughtman III, Scott Hartstein and Susan Hartstein Elkins, eight great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Family will receive friends this evening, Monday, June 22 from 6-8 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.), Little Rock. Church services will be on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at First Christian Church, 1500 N. Mississippi St., Little Rock, AR 72207, officiated by Rev. Hart Moore. Burial will follow at Ivy Chapel Cemetery. Memorials may be made to First Christian Church, or Disciples of Christ Historical Society, 1101 19th Avenue South, Nashville, TN 37212.
