Frank Andrew Whaley

Frank Andrew Whaley, 85, of North Little Rock passed away on May 27th 2024.

He was born on February 17th 1939, in Hugo, Oklahoma to Carrie and Verlin Virvin Whaley. He studied business at UALR and went on to be the owner of three grocery stores, including Frank’s Food Mart in North Little Rock. 

In 1962 he married the love of his life, Lyn Borum. They have two sons, Chris and Jason. 

Frank loved to travel, ride his bike and exercise, but most importantly enjoyed being with his family. 

Frank is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Marlene Pittman and Carrie Henson; brothers V.V. Whaley and Verlon Whaley. 

He is survived by wife Lyn Whaley; sons Chris Whaley (Sonya), Jason Whaley (Erin); 5 grandchildren Claire Todd (Luke), Carson, Catherine, Sabel and Inde; sisters Seldra Perkins, Clara Parks, Sue Oyler, Betty Young, Sherrie Whaley and Vicki Whaley; and brother Bobby Whaley.

A celebration of life will be held at First United Methodist Church in North Little Rock on Saturday, June 1st at 3:00pm. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to First United Methodist Church of North Little Rock or to Brother Paul’s Friendly Chapel Ministry.
