Freda Kirkland

On June 6, 2024, Mrs. Freda L. Kirkland, 85, of El Paso, Arkansas, passed away peacefully in her home. She was born May 22, 1939, in El Paso, to William and Ella Mae (Bates) Smith.   Freda was a member of Oak Church of Christ and was retired from Franklin Electric.

Freda loved her family, her flowers, making quilts, fishing and making memories.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Kirkland, daughter Paula Blakemore, son, Lynn Kirkland; four brothers and 4 sisters.

Freda is survived by her daughter, Donna Adkins; four grandchildren, Chris Adkins (Pandita), Christina Chambers (Robert), Corey Adkins (Amy), and Brittany Kirkland; her sisters, Edith Bernard, Arlena (Don) Riley, and Alice Thompson, and brother Donald Ray Smith, 17 great grandchildren; and 11 great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. Monday, June 10, 2024, at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, 404 W. Dewitt Henry Dr., Beebe, Arkansas, followed by funeral service at 2:00 p.m.   Burial will be in Blasingame Cemetery.   Arrangements by Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home.
