Freda J. Pearce, 74, of North Little Rock, AR, lost her very courageous battle with cancer on Friday, November 16, 2012. She was born in Dermott, AR on June 14, 1938 to the late Madge and Lawrence Johnson.

Freda was a devoted member of First Assembly Church in North Little Rock, where she had many friends. She retired from the Pulaski County Sheriff's Department where she had worked for 17 years as a deputy. She was very blessed to not only have a great love of her job, but also loved all her coworkers as a second family.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her two brothers, Bruce and Larry Johnson; and her sister and best friend, Wanda Jackson.
She is survived by her son, Tim Pearce; daughter, Debbie Spangler and husband, Bobby; granddaughter, Sarah; two nephews, David and Jeff Johnson, all of North Little Rock; one niece, Beverly Cole of Jacksonville; and many beloved cousins and very dear friends that will truly miss her.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., Sunday, November 18, 2012, at the North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main Street, 501-758-1170. Funeral service will be held Monday, 1:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Arkansas Memorial Gardens.

The family would like to say a special thanks to the First Assembly Pastors and to Freda's Sunday School Class for all the prayers and visits.
