Freddy Young age 70, of Sparkman, passed away Saturday, May 30, 2015 at his home. He was born May 21, 1945 to Joe Lee and Sarah Virginia Dawdy Young. Freddy owned and operated Young's Sports and Marine in Arkadelphia for many years. He also was an commercial roofer and attended First Baptist Church in Sparkman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Joseph Young, two brothers and one sister.
Survivors are his wife of forty-nine years, Merlene McCaskill Young; one grandson, Joseph Ryan Young; one brother, one sister, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be 10:00 AM Monday, June 1st at Sparkman First Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Rock Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Sunday at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home in Arkadelphia.
