Garry McNally, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on July 15, 2024, in North Little Rock, Arkansas. He was born in O'Neill, Nebraska, on September 17, 1940, to the late Bernard and Dorothy McNally.
Garry spent an impressive 50 years in the retail industry working for Dillard's and JCPenney. Even after retirement, he continued to serve his community as a school bus driver. Beyond his professional commitments, Garry's true essence shone through in his love for his family as well as his diverse interests and hobbies.
Garry was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus and served as a former grand knight. He often volunteered at the food bank and engaged in Kiros Prison Ministries. His involvement in building the Abba House stood as a testament to his commitment to helping those in need. He embodied the spirit of compassion and service. Garry was always a proud pro-life advocate who sheltered abused pregnant women in his home.
Garry's Irish heritage was reflected in his deeply rooted Catholic values and beliefs. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church for many years alongside his beloved wife, Suzi. Garry's family was his favorite hobby and his dedication on and commitment to them was his greatest joy and accomplishment.
Garry leaves behind a loving legacy, Suzanne "Suzi" McNally, his wife of 58 years, who stood as a pillar of strength by his side, his children, Ryan McNally (Courtney), Patrick McNally, Molly Jaques (Tom), Casey McNally (Sonia); grandchildren, Joseph Jeakle, Conor, Declan, Roarke, Kaelan McNally, Chance, JeS, and Zander Jaques; siblings, Peggy Hurley (Bob), Dan McNally (Mary Jo), Tom McNally (Shelia), Marte McNally (Rita), and Jodie McNally-Damore (Greg), and sister-in-law Ginger McNally, along with many beloved nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, identical twin brother, Terry McNally, and sister, Sheila Nakamura.
A memorial service will be held at Immaculate Conception Church in North Little Rock on Friday, July 26th. Visitation on 10 am- 11 am. Service will be held at 11 am.
