Gary Bruce Anderson

Gary Bruce Anderson, Age 77, passed from this life to eternity with his heavenly father on March 9, 2023.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Marceil Collie Anderson, his father, Paul Richard Anderson, and sister, Marilyn Dandridge. He fiercely loved his grandchildren and being able to see them and spend time with them was one of his greatest joys in life.  He leaves behind a wonderful legacy of treasured family and friends.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Pamela A. Anderson; daughter, Tracy and husband, Tom Fisher Jr of Redfield; son, Brian J. and wife, Zzavvalynn Anderson of North Little Rock; his grandchildren, Brayden T. Fisher of Cabot, Shelby C. Lowrey of Sheridan, and Julia Faith Anderson and fiancé, Jacob Davis of Fayetteville; his grandchildren by marriage; Jason Kirk Deal, Jr. of Little Rock, Larry Shon Bailey Jr. of Cabot, and Alyce Elyzabeth Deal of North Little Rock; and a host of beloved nieces and nephews.

Gary was a cowboy thru and thru.  He loved being a cowboy.  He retired from his dream job at Arkansas Livestock and Poultry where he made many friends both in the office and in the field.  He never met a stranger.  He loved being outdoors with his horses, fishing, helping his friend or neighbor.  Gary served in the United States Air Force. He was a Deacon at Hebron Baptist Church, Little Rock.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to cowboyswhocare.org foundation, whose mission is to give cowboy and cowgirl hats to boys and girls across America who have cancer or other life-threatening illnesses.

A visitation will be held 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Thursday, March 16, 2023 at Smith Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knodel Ct, Little Rock, Arkansas 72205. Services to celebrate his life will be officiated by Bro. Jason Smith, and it will be held at 9:30 am Friday March 17, 2023 at Smith Little Rock Funeral Home. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brian J. Anderson, Tom Fisher Jr, Brayden Fisher, Charlie Beck, Jason Beck, and Rick Edwards. Honorary Pallbearer and best friend: Roger Douglas of Wynne.
