Gary Michael “Mike” Ketcher, 73, of Sherwood, Arkansas, passed away January 4, 2026. He was born April 14, 1952, in Little Rock, Arkansas, to Julius Lee Ketcher and Betty Jean Conn Ketcher.
He is survived by his son Jason (Samantha); daughter Tara Gaspar; grandchildren Peyton Ketcher, Lane Ketcher, Silas Ketcher, Eliza Ketcher, and Daniel Gaspar (Sydney); great-grandchild Liam Gaspar; sister Gina Nesbitt; brothers Robert and Greg Ketcher (Pam); and numerous extended family. He was preceded in death by his sister Vivian Allen and his parents.
Mike proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. After his service he built a lifelong career in metal fabrication, operating and later owning the family business, Ketcher Metal Products. He was known for his strong work ethic, integrity, and dedication to his craft.
Family was everything to Mike. He loved his children and grandchildren fiercely and took great pride in their accomplishments. He showed up for them in countless ways, offering support, encouragement, and steady presence throughout their lives.
An active member of his community, Mike was a lifetime member of the Jaycees and supported leadership development and charitable causes. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was involved with the Sylvan Hills Booster Club. A long-time member of First Christian Church in Sherwood, he also participated in the Christian Business Men’s Group, living out his faith through service and outreach. Mike never met a stranger; his genuine willingness to help anyone in need left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
