Gary Lee Shaw, 56, of Jacksonville, passed away September 1, 2011. He was born in Jacksonville to Rufus G. and Ruby Spencer Shaw. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He was a loving husband and wonderful father. Loved by many, he will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife, Jeanette Womble Shaw; daughter, Sarah J. Jones and husband, Tommie of Sherwood; and a sister, Mary Crabtree of Austin, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Eugene, Houston and R. G. Shaw.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 7 at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock, officiated by Rev. Jon Carnes. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Sherwood Funeral Home, 7515 Warden Rd. in Sherwood.
Memorials may be made to one's favorite charity.
