Gary Wayne Young

Gary Wayne Young, age 62, of Caddo Gap, passed away on Monday, November 20, 2023.

He was born on December 12, 1960, in Hot Springs, the son of C.W. Young and Lida Jane Black. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his two grandchildren, Chaston Mandan Lee Fairless and Kandace Marie Moore.

On May 3, 1980, Gary married the love of his life, Tommie Jean Morris . He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. Everyone that knew Gary knew he preferred working and being on his farm. He enjoyed mushroom hunting and having crawfish boils during his family get togethers. In his younger days he loved riding horses.  Gary was an amazing husband, father, and pa. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Tommie Young of Caddo Gap; his four daughters, Amanda and her husband, Earl Moore of Caddo Gap; Chasity Young and her boyfriend, Taylot Sigrist of Black Springs, Shannon Young and her boyfriend Kenny Helms of Caddo Gap, and Bethany Young of Hot Springs; his eight grandchildren, Aidan Young, Fayleigh Young, Mark Helms, Colton Fairless, Charley Fairless, Cassidy Fairless, Rebecca Moore, and Randy Moore; his sister. Debbie Young of Dallas, Texas; his brother, Cecil Young of Dallas, Texas; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.

The family will be holding services on Saturday, November 25, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Liberty Baptist Church with Bro. Jeremy Graves Officiating.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Home, 209 North 3rd Street, Glenwood, AR 71943.
