Listen to Obituary

Gene Jennings, 75, of Beebe, Arkansas went to be with the Lord Monday, September 7, 2026. Gene was born January 20, 1951, to the late Clyde and Mary Jennings in Little Rock, Arkansas.

As a boy, he loved playing baseball and had many happy memories of growing up on Cleveland Street in Little Rock with his brothers and sister.

Gene was married to the love of his life, Rhonda, for 58 years. They built a beautiful life and family together.

After his service in the military, Gene went to school and began working as a draftsman and electrical designer. His last project was designing and drawing the plans for his granddaughter’s home. He enjoyed talking with his sons, family and friends on the phone most every day. He had a gift of compassion and was always in prayer for people in need. He was full of love and funny jokes. Gene loved fishing, and every summer the family would spend two weeks on Lake Dardanelle at the cabin, fishing, swimming, hiking and driving the country roads.

Gene is preceded in death by his brother, Frank.

He is survived by his wife Rhonda; sons Aaron (Teresa), Chris and Travis; brother Jimmy; sister Judy Hawley (Louis); grandchildren Noah Wyman (Zach), Journey Germaine (Jack), Britteny Wilkinson, Trip Smith (Natalie), Dallas Smith, Dawson Smith (Allie); and brother-in-law Frank Schulte (Melody).
