Geneva Miller

Geneva Miller, age 93, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, July 21, 2025.

She was born on September 9, 1931 at Fancy Hill. She was the daughter of Marshall Wright and Hester Cogburn Wright. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Russell Miller; her two daughters and sons-in-law, Roseanna and Tommy Markham and Deborah and Butch Black; and her granddaughter, Lisa Miller.

Geneva married the love of her life, Russell Miller in Reno, Nevada. She was a member of Norman First Baptist Church. She loved watching soap operas and the game show network. Geneva loved talking on the phone for hours daily with her sisters and spending time with her family. She will be remembered by her laugh and beautiful smile. She was a wonderful wife, mother, granny, sister, and friend and she will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Janice Miller of Norman; her grandchildren and their spouses, Misty and Lance York, Shane and Nicole Black, Lucas and Devin Markham, and Bryan Markham, her numerous great-grandchildren; her brother, Marvin Wright; her two sisters, Shirley LaGrange and Wanda Dean Zaine; and many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and a host of wonderful friends. 

Pallbearers will be Shane Black, Lucas Markham, Brian Markahm, Lane Daw, Gage Daw, and Levi York. 

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Norman First Baptist Church with Bro. Cub Black officiating. 

Interment will be held at Mount Gilead Cemetery.
