George William Fijo, Jr., 75, of Little Rock passed away on Monday, December 24, 2007. Born April 20, 1932 to George W. Fijo, Sr. and Elizabeth Fijo, he was a Veteran of the U. S. Army, a 1958 graduate of Penn State University, and retired from Union Pacific Motor Freight as a Director of Safety and Quality.
Mr. Fijo is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Norma Jeffreys Fijo; sons, Mark A. Fijo and his wife, Angela, and Stuart Fijo; daughter, Charlotte Flanagan and her husband, Paul; and grandchildren, Mark A. Fijo, II, Ashley Marie Fijo, Jennifer Ann Lind and Taylor Fijo.
Visitation will be this evening, Thursday, December 27 from 6-8 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner of I-630 and Barrow Rd.), Little Rock. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 28 at the funeral home, followed by burial in Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander.
