George Green
George D. Green age 89 of Arkadelphia died Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at Baptist Health Center Arkadelphia. He was born July 8, 1919 in Clark County the son of James T. and Sally Fite Green. He was a United States Army Veteran of WWII and of the Primitive Baptist Faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Conway and Henry Green, two sisters, Alma Huneycutt and Elsie Stokes.
Survivors include his wife Eunice White Green, three sons, Larry and Laymond Green both of Arakdelphia and Raymond Green of Bloomington, IL, one daughter, Beverly Jane Bedwell of Jacksonville, FL, one brother, Leroy Green of Arkadelphia, four sisters, Mildred Daniel of Ft. Worth, TX, Lillian Sooter of Ft. Wayne, IN, Sarah Beckel of Little Rock, and Louise Van Dyke of South Carolina, six grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2 P.M. Friday in the Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Chapel with Brother Gary Harvey officiating. Burial will be in the Macedonia Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Macedonia Cemetery Association C/O Ted Huneycutt, 3781 Hwy 7 South, Arkadelphia, AR 71923.
