George Handy

Rev. George G. Handy, Sr., 88, of Little Rock, passed away January 18, 2017. He is survived by his children, Delores Handy-Brown (Larry) of Boston, Massachusetts, Vivian Stallings (Carl) and Cassandria Randolph (Levi), both of Little Rock, Joyce Summerville of Boca Raton, Florida, Denise Handy of Little Rock, George Handy, Jr. and Eva Norwood (Columbus), both of Kansas City, Missouri, Teresa Thomas of Seattle, Washington, Curtis Handy of Kansas City, Curtistine Handy and Joseph Handy, both of Little Rock, Rosalind Handy of Boston, Patrick Handy and Quinton Handy, both of Little Rock. Also surviving are twenty-nine grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

There will be a memorial celebration on Thursday, January 26 at 6:00 p.m. at Gaines Street Baptist Church, 1600 Gaines St., Little Rock. Funeral services will be Friday, January 27 at 10:30 a.m. at the church, officiated by Rev. Jesse Brown of the First Baptist Church in Chicago, Illinois. Interment with Military Honors will follow at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock.
