George J. Khoury, 86, of North Little Rock passed away Wednesday November 19, 2008. He was a retired machine shop supervisor for Remington Arms Company, a member of St. Patrick?s Catholic Church, the Men?s Club and the Knights of Columbus #6253. He was a World War II Army veteran and active in AARP.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Susie Khoury of Longview, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Linda Jo and Douglas Murta, of Moncks Corner, South Carolina; grandchildren, David II and wife, Stephanie, Shane and wife Kim, Dustin, Kara and husband Richard and April and husband Phillip; eight great grandchildren; and three nephews, Eugene, Kenneth and Robert Michael. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn; and three sons, George II, David and Thomas.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The Knights of Columbus, 6523 Camp Robinson Road, North Little Rock, Arkansas 72118; or St. Jude?s Children Hospital, 505 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
Mass of Christian burial will be held 11:00 A.M., Saturday at St. Patrick?s Catholic Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Vigil services will be 7:00 P.M., Friday at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St. 758-1170. Online obituary and guest register at www.nlrfh.com.
