George H. Lux, 91, of Little Rock, passed away November 15, 2013. He was born in Fort Smith to Clem and Mary Werner Lux and was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church. He was a U.S. Army WWII veteran and retired from the Arkansas Democrat Gazette after 30 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his children, Mitzi Higgins, Ann Bethea and Mike Lux. He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Jacqueline Cathey Lux; grandchildren, Jonathan Higgins (Amanda) of Jonesboro, Sarah Higgins of Helena, Charles Higgins (Lorena) of Navarre, Florida, Philip Higgins, and Hannah Higgins, both of Helena, Christy Brammer (Bill) of Ft. Worth, Texas and Jeremy Lux of Aurora, Colorado; sister, Pauline and brothers, Everett and Paul, all of Fort Smith; and eight great-grandchildren.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated by Father Warren Harvey on Tuesday, November 19 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church. Memorials may be made to the Church or to a charity of one's choice.
