George Oliver

George Oliver, 72, of Beebe, formerly of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, was born August 15, 1939 at Fountain Hill, Arkansas, to Curtis and Willie (Moses) Oliver; and he died Sunday, February 26, 2012. He served in the Air Force and was a member of Missionary Baptist Church in Ward.
George is survived by his wife of twenty-five years, Martha Sue Oliver; three sons, Curtis (Tammy) Oliver of Monroe Louisiana, John Oliver of White Hall, Billy Joe (Lisa) Oliver of Sheridan; two daughters, Lesa Kirkendall (Jimmy) of Natural Dam, and Vonda Oliver-Gifford (Michael) of Watson Chapel; two stepsons, Donnie Vickers of Beebe and Shane Vickers of North Little Rock; nine grandchildren, Justin Oliver, Caleb Oliver, Emily Oliver, Rustin Kirkendall, Haley Gifford, Chase Oliver, Jacob Oliver, Lauren Oliver, and Ryan Gifford; one great-grandchild, Bailee Oliver; two sisters, Mary Ruth Locke of Fountain Hill and Martha White of Cabot; and one brother, John Oliver of Crossett. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Nancy Stumbaugh.
Family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, March 1, 2012, at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe, with funeral to follow at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, in Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery.
