Georgena Bradshaw

Georgena Bradshaw, 79, of Little Rock, died peacefully in her sleep November 29, 2018. She was born in Hot Springs to George and Faye Loyd Gibbs. She worked in the insurance industry, starting her career with the Insurance Commissioner and retiring as the President and CEO of Central Licensing Bureau. She was a proper Southern lady, full of life, well-dressed, who loved her friends, her sister Beverly, and going to the horse races. She never let an opportunity to spend a weekend in Tunica with her girls pass her by. Gena was also known to drop a penny in a slot machine from time to time.

She is survived by her son, Blake Murchison (Tia) and her daughter, Jennifer (Aaron Ketelsen), all of Little Rock; sister, Beverly Bodenhamer of Fayetteville; and grandchildren, Blake Murchison II, Alexandra Murchison and Quinlan Ketelsen; several nieces, nephews and close friends, and her sweet little dog, Bruno. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, James "Buck" Gibbs.

Services will be held Thursday, December 6 at 1:00 p.m. at St. James United Methodist Church, followed by interment in St. James' Columbarium.

Arrangements by Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct., (501)224-2200. Ms. Bradshaw's online guestbook may be signed at www.littlerockfuneralhome.com.
