Gerald "Butch" Gordon, 69, of Sherwood, passed from this life October 29, 2011, born to Alva and Athalene Tiner Gordon of Morrilton on July 18, 1942.
Mr. Gordon was a true example of a Christian and was a great witness to all who knew him. He was a 32nd degree Mason and was a Deacon for many years. He enjoyed golf, hunting, camping and Nascar. He will be greatly missed by many.
He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Loretta Gordon; 2 daughters, Pamela Jones of Hot Springs and Rhonda Nestor (Charles) of Sherwood; 1 grandson, Stephen Christensen (Caitlin) of North Little Rock; 3 granddaughters, Angela Boast (Bradley) of White Hall, Tina Armstrong (Gerad) of White Hall and Alyssa Koen (Michael) of Hot Springs; 1 great granddaughter, Lily Boast of White Hall; one sister, Sharon Eubanks (Bob) of Edgemont; one uncle, AC Tiner (Martha); a special dog, Sandie and a host of friends and family.
Visitation will be from 6-8 P.M. On Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at Huson Funeral Home of Sherwood. Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at Sherwood First Baptist Church. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at Elmwood Cemetery in Morrilton.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd St, New York, New York 10016 or to the American Diabetes Association, 320 Executive Court, Suite 104, Little Rock, Arkansas 72205.
