Gerald Eugene Kennon, 69, of North Little Rock, Arkansas passed away surrounded by loved ones on August 18, 2025.

Gerald was born on December 13, 1955, to Hayden and Erma Newland Kennon in Lawrence, Kansas. He was a resident of North Little Rock for 67 years, graduating from Oak Grove High School in 1973. He was a member of Graves Memorial Baptist Church.

Gerald never met a stranger, accumulating a multitude of friends.

In 1974, he married the love of his life, Teri. Together, they had three sons.

He loved riding his Harley, traveling the country with Teri and his sons. In later years, he enjoyed off-road adventures on his side-by-side. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and never missed a game.

As co-owner of A-1, he was the backbone of the company, instilling his wisdom and knowledge to his employees.

Gerald’s greatest pride and joy were his boys and their families. When it came to his grandchildren, “no” was not a word he used.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Teri; his three sons Brad and wife Suzi of Sachse, Texas, Jason and wife Sara of Benton, Arkansas, and Jonathan and his girlfriend Chrissy of Conway, Arkansas; grandchildren Jordan and his girlfriend Miranda, Mackenzie and her husband Kylar, Lexi, Shelby, Everleigh, Piper, Beau and Rylee; sisters Sandra Miller, Debbie Anderson, Linda Leatherwood and husband David; numerous nieces and nephews along with many close friends who were considered family.

Gerald was preceded in death by his parents, brother Ronald Weber, step-sister Sharon Lawver, grandparents Henry and Dovie Kennon, Otto and Manda Newland.
