Gerald "Moose" Lammers, a devoted husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2024, in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Born on September 2, 1947, Moose was known for his vibrant personality, outgoing nature, and ability to bring laughter into the lives of those around him.

Throughout his life, Gerald dedicated many years to his career as a general contractor, a profession that allowed him to express his love for building and teaching others the skills he had mastered. His passion for working on equipment and creating tangible projects brought him immense joy and fulfillment. Additionally, he served six years in the Army Reserves with the 489 Engineer Battalion, a chapter of his life that reflected his commitment to his country and community.

Gerald cherished the time spent with his family above all. He is survived by his beloved wife, Marla “Molly” Lammers; his daughter, Hannah Lammers; his brother, Kenneth Lammers; and many treasured cousins, nieces, and nephews.

His family recalls many delightful moments spent together, which were filled with laughter and the joyful spirit that defined him. Gerald had a talent for telling funny stories, which he shared generously, making every gathering brighter and every memory more vivid.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Doyn and Blanche Hunter-Lammers, as well as his brother, LaDon Lammers, and sisters-in-law, Regina Lammers and Patsy Lammers.

Pallbearers are dear friends Austin Johnson and Larry Rowe; beloved nephews Gary and Jeremy Lammers; and great nephews Eli, Jared, and Layton Lammers.

Honorary Pallbearers are beloved nephew Greg Lammers, dear friends Odell Chase, Ray Ennis, Clay Cook, Donnie Klemm, and Staton Flurry.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Gerald’s life at a visitation on September 19, 2024, from 5:00-7:00 PM at the Smith Family Funeral Home in Hot Springs, Arkansas, followed by a graveside service on September 20, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Peak Cemetery in Royal, Arkansas.
