Gerald VerNon "Pete" Petersen, 74, of Beebe, Arkansas, was born November 30, 1941 at Logan, Utah and he died August 18, 2016. He was a U.S. Army veteran and worked in the trucking business. Pete was a member of Beebe Church of Christ and enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling.
He is survived by his wife, Rosemary Petersen of Beebe; father Arlington VerNon Petersen of Utah; son Michael Petersen of Oregon; brothers Eugene (Luana) Petersen of Idaho and Kevin (Carol) Petersen of Utah; sister Christie (Jim) Chance of Utah; stepchildren Russell Johnson of Beebe and Jennifer Crafton of Beebe; step-grandchildren Meagan Crafton of Little Rock, Brandon Johnson of South Carolina and Amber Walker of Searcy; step-great-grandchildren Easton, Landon and Elena Johnson of South Carolina.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Saunders Petersen; son Jerry Petersen; and sister Dorothy Mae Petersen.

Visitation will be 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday, August 22, 2016 at Beebe Church of Christ, with Remembrance service to follow at 7:00 p.m. Cremation arrangements by Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, a Certified Veterans Funeral Care Provider.
