Geraldine Deane

Geraldine "Jerry" Gunter Deane, widow of William W. Deane (Lt. Col, USAF Retired), was born on July 28, 1924 in Eudora, Arkansas and passed away on November 27, 2013. Jerry was baptized in December of 1942 and was grateful to God for her Catholic faith, without it she could have never been the military wife, mother and widow she was. She enjoyed being a military wife, travel, family gatherings, and entertaining with friends. She was pre-deceased by husband, her parents, Clayton and Vera Gunter of Oak Grove, Louisiana, sister Nina Brown and nephew Charles Clayton Brown.

She is survived by her five children, Theresa "Terry" Franks of Jacksonville, Arkansas, Donna Skulman-Loyd (W.B. Loyd) of Little Rock, Sharron Malloy (Mike) of Belleville, Illinois, Paula Turner of Little Rock, and Craig Deane of North Little Rock; her grandchildren, Kristopher Malloy, Korey Malloy (Alicia Hamilton Malloy), Kimberly Malloy, Scott Franks and Kelly Tate, and two great grandchildren, Willow and Autumn Franks. She also leaves behind her longtime companion and caregiver, Willard Jenkins, who is considered family to her children.
The family wishes to add our heartfelt thanks to the wonderful staff at Fox Ridge and Arkansas Hospice.

A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at Immaculate Conception Church, 7000 John F. Kennedy Boulevard in North Little Rock with a Committal Ceremony following at 12:00 p.m. at Little Rock National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m.both at Huson Funeral Home at 7700 Hwy 107, Sherwood, Arkansas on Monday, December 2, 2013 . Memorials can be made to the Arkansas Lung Foundation and Immaculate Conception Church.
