Geraldine Sowell

Geraldine Louise Sowell, 81, of Austin, Arkansas, was born July 11, 1932 at Jacksonville, Arkansas, to Earl and Mabel Williford, and passed away July 15, 2013. Geraldine was retired from Timex after forty-two years and a cafeteria worker at Cabot Public Schools for ten years. She was a faithful member of Old Austin Baptist Church for sixty-one years.
She was preceded in death by her husband of forty-four years, Ray Sowell; her parents, Earl and Mabel Williford; a sister Willine Doreing; two brothers, Billy Earl Williford and Paul Williford.
Geraldine is survived by a son, Allen (Pam) Sowell; three grandchildren, Michael (Paisley) Sowell, Samantha (Jacob) Oates, and Wesley Sowell; one great-grandchild, Griffin Oates, who was the apple of her eye; one sister, Wanda (Bob) Potts; and one brother, David (Del) Williford.
Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 18, 2013, at Old Austin Baptist Church, with burial in Old Austin Cemetery. Arrangements by Westbrook, a Smith Family Funeral Home.
