Girlie "Jo" Abbott, 84, of Sherwood, Arkansas went to be with her Lord and Savior on May 28, 2017. She was born December 2, 1932 in Helena, Arkansas to the late Harold Sr. and Lorene Simon. She was an accountant in private tax preparation.
She was preceded in death by her first husband Hunter Steven Shearin Sr; second husband James R. Abbott; parents; brother Harold Simon Jr.
She is survived by daughters Barbara Akers (Jim); Stephanie Pollard; sons Hunter Steven Shearin Jr. (Cynthea); Rick Abbott (Sherry); sister Camille Taylor (Bob); nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 1, 2017 at Sumner Cemetery.
Family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at Smith-Sherwood Funeral Home, 7700 Highway 107.
