Gladys Garner, age 95, of Glenwood, died Sunday, September 9, 2012. She was born on January 6, 1917, at Delight, the daughter of Charles Watson and Floy Winfred Harris Watson. On October 3, 1933, she was married to Daward Garner who preceded her in death on June 13, 2010. She was also preceded in death by her parents; six grandchildren, Diane Garner, Dennis Buckley, Judy Arnold, Ralph Buckley, Paul Beckcom and Bert Bonner; two brothers, Fredrick Watson and Ronald Watson; and one sister, Rebecca Garner. She was a member of the Glenwood Church of Christ, a wonderful cook and a seamstress, who tailored her husband's suits. She dearly loved her family and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by two sons, Reford Garner of Kirby and Bobby Garner of Amity; two daughters, Joan Wright, and her husband, Floyd, of Texarkana and Nancy Bonner of Glenwood; thirteen grandchildren; thirty-one great-grandchildren; and eleven great-great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, September 12, 2012, in the Pisgah Cemetery in Delight with Billy Golden officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
