In Loving Memory of Glen Earl Couch

Glen Earl Couch was born on July 15, 1941, in Springhill, Louisiana, to JG and Mary Couch. As the oldest of three brothers, Glen shared his childhood with his younger brothers, Jimmy and Ken Couch.

Growing up, Glen developed a lifelong love of football, baseball, cars, firearms, hunting, and fishing. His early years were shaped by family, sports, and the experiences that would help form the man he would become. He was enthusiastic about his beloved 1966 Pontiac GTO which he would take to every car show he was capable of to show of his prized possession. He loved to relax and retreat to his cabin in the woods of Magnolia, Arkansas as a getaway from the day to day life.

He graduated from Sulphur, Louisiana, in 1959 and went on to attend Southern State College in Magnolia, Arkansas. It was during his college years that Glen began his career in law enforcement, a profession that would become an important part of his life. He first served with the Magnolia Police Department before transitioning to the Arkansas State Police. Through his work in law enforcement, Glen not only found his calling but also met the love of his life, Joyce Couch.

Glen and Joyce built a life together and welcomed two children, Chris and Kathy. His family continued to grow as Chris and Kathy gave him four grandchildren, Jessica, Kaylie, Zac, Austin. Austin added to Glen’s legacy in 2023 with his great grandson, Logan. His family brought him great joy and became an important part of his legacy. Glen will be remembered for the life he built, the people he loved, his dedication to his family, and the years he devoted to serving others through law enforcement. His life touched the lives of his family, friends, and those who had the privilege of knowing him.

He leaves behind a legacy of love through his wife, Joyce; his children, Chris and Kathy; and his grandchildren, Jessica, Kaylie, Zac, and Austin; his brothers, Jimmy and Ken; and all those who knew and loved him. Glen Earl Couch will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
