Glenda B. Hale, 97, of Vinity, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord on September 7, 2026. She was born in Garner on March 30, 1929, to Ocie and Arminta Duncan.
Glenda was a devoted homemaker, mother, grandmother, teacher, and beautician. She was a faithful member of Garner Baptist Church and the Vinity Extension Homemakers Club. Throughout her life, she found joy in caring for her family and home. She made her family’s clothes, prepared their food, worked on the farm, and poured countless hours of love into those around her.
Glenda had a lifelong love of learning and teaching. Her passion for porcelain painting brought her great joy, and she taught porcelain painting for many years. She was also a proud member of the Daisey Petals China Painting Club, where she shared her talent and love of the craft with others.
After retiring from Remington Arms, Glenda and her husband, Marion, enjoyed traveling throughout the United States and Canada. Her hobbies included reading and fishing, but she especially loved spending time in her vegetable and flower gardens.
Glenda’s greatest joy was her family. She dearly loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and treasured every opportunity to spend time with them. She also loved her church, where she taught Sunday school, helped with Vacation Bible School, and faithfully served in the church kitchen. Her life was marked by her faith, her generosity, her creativity, and her love for others.
She is survived by her son, Ocie “Kayo” (Elfi) Hale of Vinity; daughter, Glenita (Larry) Anderson of Southside; four grandchildren, Chris Hale, Phillip (Kelli) Hale, LaNita (Brad) Russell, and Stephen Anderson; great-grandchildren, James Hale, Asher Hale, Brynna Russell, Eli Anderson, and Enoch Anderson; one sister, Bonnie (Pete) Shelton; and a host of extended family and dear friends.
Glenda was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Marion; and her baby brother, Roger Duncan.
Visitation will be from 5:00–7:00 p.m. Thursday at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home in Beebe. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 11, 2026, at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Cheek Cemetery.
