Glendene James

Glendene Rye James, 88, of Cabot, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, February 20, 2013. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who loved flowers, and was a great cook, seamstress and quilter. She was a member of Cabot First Baptist Church.
Glendene is survived by two daughters, Susan Turnbo and husband Alan, and Mary Beth Cates, all of Cabot; three grandchildren, Amanda Turnbo Morris (Richard), Kirk Turnbo and fiancé Kathryn, and Bobby Cates (Tori); one great-grandchild, Lucy Morris and soon-to-be born great-grandson, Fletcher; two brothers, James "Doc" Rye and Eugene Rye of Cabot; three sisters, Juanita Morphew and Sue Carrington of Cabot, and Kitty Eaton of Texas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, L. C. James, Jr., her parents, Andrew and Eunice (Anderson) Rye; and sisters Joyce Hester and Linda Temple.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Arlene Cherry Memorial Library, 506 N. Grant St., Cabot, AR 72023.
Funeral will be 2:00 Friday, February 22, 2013, at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe, with burial in Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Arrangements by Westbrook, a Smith Family Funeral Home.
