Glendil Fagan

Glendil Fagan, age 70, of Amity, passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2017. He was born on February 15, 1947 in Amity, the son of Clarence David Fagan and Gladys Godsby Fagan. On June 30, 1967, he was married to Linda Simmons Fagan who preceded him in death on February 4, 2014. He was also preceded in death by his infant son, Bobby Glen Fagan; his parents; and his brother and sister-in-law, Sonny and Cleda Fagan. He was a 1965 graduate of Amity High School and a retired logger. He enjoyed working his garden, hunting, fishing, watching college basketball and playing with his grandchildren, Kylie and Bradley. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Wade Duncan of Royal; his son and daughter-in-law, Johnny and Ann Fagan of Amity; his grandchildren, Kylie and Bradley Fagan; his nephew, Grady Fagan and his wife, Theresa; his great-niece, Emily Fagan; his great-nephew, Ethan Fagan; his mother-in-law, Ruth Askew of Daisy; his cousins, Jerry and Janelle Fagan of Rosboro; and his sister-in-law, Pansy Fagan of Amity. Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, May 6, 2017, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood, with Bro. Jerry Fagan officiating. Visitation will be Friday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at the funeral home. Interment will be in Jones Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Allen Williams, Dusty Skates, Ethan Fagan, Josh Francis, Kenny Wayne Rinkle and Doug Lawrence. Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Woodall, the 1965 graduating class of Amity High School and the members of Trudy's round table. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
