Gordon Lee Apple

Gordon Lee Apple of Little Rock went home to be with his Lord and Savior on December 5, 2025. Gordon was born in Havana, Arkansas on December 29, 1930. He is preceded in death by his parents Ozzo and Mamie Apple, brothers Clyde Apple, Ray Apple, and Kent Apple, and sister Margaret Bull. He is also preceded in death by his niece, Ann Voss, beloved wife Nancy Posey Apple and her parents Carroll and Christina Posey.

He is survived by his daughters, Mitzi Shaw, Kim Mahon, and Audra Pearson (Shane); grandchildren Kyler Shaw, Adrian Shaw, Zayn Smith, Micah Smith (Reagan), Ashley Mahon, Tiffany Mahon, Kenneth Mahon, Logan Pearson, Lauren Pearson, 17 great grandchildren, along with a host of family and friends.

Gordon, or HaHa, was a lifelong follower of Christ and a member of Crystal Hill Baptist Church. He was faithful to visit people in the hospital, where he would sit for hours as a kind and loving friend. He retired after 40+ years as a truck driver. Gordon took great pride in tending to his yard and vegetable garden. He had a lifelong love of trains and could happily spend hours reading or watching anything related to them. A man of deep faith, Gordon studied the Bible every night, drawing strength and guidance from its pages. He also kept himself well-informed, reading the newspaper cover to cover each day. In the evenings, he rarely missed an episode of Wheel of Fortune.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM on Friday, December 12, 2025 at Smith Little Rock Funeral Home (8801 Knoedl Court) with a graveside service following at 12:30 PM at Crystal Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Little Rock.
