Grace Naomi (Jean) Wilkerson Howard, age 85, born May 4, 1927 in Gould, AR, passed from this world December 31, 2012. She was the daughter of A.J. & Grace Wilkerson and was raised by her precious aunt & uncle, Will & Momma Matt Smith.
She was preceded in death by both sets of parents, her beloved husband of 48 years, H.B. (Buck) Howard, a son, John Harold Howard (Dee), one brother, one sister and many step-brothers & step-sisters.
She is survived by one son, Clarence Howard (Arnette), Three daughters, Bennie Corrigan (Carroll), Connie Detherage (Tom) , Netha Howard, seven grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
She was a great ambassador for Jesus Christ having served as a Sunday School teacher for 47 years, weekly community visitations, and church bus chaperon. She loved doing ceramics, playing softball, watching all her children & grandchildren play sports, fishing and hunting.
Visitation will be Wednesday, January 2nd, from 5PM to 8PM at Huson Funeral Home. The funeral will be Thursday, January 3rd, 3:00PM at East End Baptist Church and interment at Salem Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Salem Cemetery.
